Privacy Policy

McCargo Consulting ("we," "us," or "our") operates mccargo-consulting.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using this site, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Email address — when you submit a form to receive resources, updates, or other lead-magnet content we offer on this site.
  • Appointment details — when you book a discovery call through Google Calendar, Google collects your name, email, and any information you provide in the booking form.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring URLs, and navigation paths, collected via Google Analytics 4.
  • Device and browser data — browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and general geographic location (city/region level) via IP address, collected via Google Analytics 4.
  • Company-level visitor data — your IP address may be used to identify the company or organization you are visiting from, collected via Apollo.io (see Third-Party Services below). No individual personally identifiable information is derived from this.
  • Cookies and similar tracking — see the Cookies section below.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To deliver requested content, resources, or confirmations after form submissions.
  • To schedule and confirm discovery calls.
  • To analyze site traffic and improve content (aggregate, anonymized analytics).
  • To identify and follow up with prospective business clients (company-level, not individual tracking).
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

3. Third-Party Services

This site uses the following third-party services that may collect or process data independently:

  • Google Analytics 4 — collects anonymized usage data. Google may process this data in the United States. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Calendar (Google Workspace) — used for scheduling discovery calls. Appointment data is processed by Google. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's servers, which may log your IP address. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Apollo.io — a B2B sales intelligence platform that uses your IP address to identify the company you may be visiting from. Apollo does not collect your name or email without your direct submission. Apollo's privacy policy: apollo.io/privacy-policy.
  • Cloudflare — this site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes network traffic and may log IP addresses for security and performance. Cloudflare's privacy policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

4. Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies. Here is what is set:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — first-party cookies (e.g., _ga, _ga_*) that track sessions and page visits in aggregate. These expire after 2 years.
  • Functional cookies — session-based cookies that may be set by your browser for basic site functionality.
  • Third-party tracking pixels — Apollo.io uses a JavaScript tracker that may set cookies to identify company-level visitors.

Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use this site. For more control over Google's advertising and analytics cookies, visit myaccount.google.com.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

When you first visit this site, a consent banner appears at the bottom of the page. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are only loaded if you click Accept. If you click Decline, no analytics cookies are set and no usage data is sent to Google.

Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage. To change your preference later:

  1. Open your browser's Developer Tools (usually F12 or right-click → Inspect).
  2. Go to the Application tab (Chrome/Edge) or Storage tab (Firefox).
  3. Under Local Storage, find the entry for this site and delete the mcc_cookie_consent key.
  4. Refresh the page — the consent banner will reappear.

Alternatively, you can clear all site data through your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to block Google Analytics on all websites.

5. Data Retention

Email addresses collected via forms are retained until you request deletion. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months per our GA4 configuration. Apollo.io visitor data is governed by Apollo's own retention policies.
